The possibilities of formation of 3 more new districts in Chhattisgarh have increased. According to administrative sources, any 3 of the possible districts could be Wadrafnagar, Nagari-Sihawa, Bhatapara, Pathalgaon, Khairagarh, Pandaria, Saraipali. These can be announced just before Diwali in future.
Some of these new districts have political reasons. There are indications that just before Diwali, after the size and boundaries of 3 new districts and new tehsils are decided, the blueprint of 3 more districts will start getting prepared. If the news floating in the corridors of the ministry is to be believed, then on the instructions of the government, the officials are engaged in exploring the possibility of new districts.

This is how the process of formation of a district works…
CS will inform the Revenue Department about the government’s decision in writing.
The Revenue Department will ask for allocation from the Finance Department for this.
The proposal for new districts will be discussed and amended in the Cabinet.
It will be published in the Gazette, an officer will be made OSD.
Claims and objections will also be sought from the public.
Establishment expenses, posting of officers and employees after allocation is released,
Recruitment on new vacant posts, furniture and other infrastructure
After this, first OSD and then new Collector will be appointed.
Administration becomes better: BKS
According to former ACS BKS Ray, new districts are born out of public sentiments. Regional balance is also seen in this. The government’s aim behind this is to provide better administration. Initially, the government has to spend money on new districts, but when the new district administration comes on track, everything becomes fine with taxes and revenue collection. People do not have to go far for administrative work. Time, money and labor will be saved.
